Building Friendship!

We have created a new "Check-In Table" in the classroom where children and their friends and/or teachers can check in with each other when conflicts/behaviors arise. Our social stories, cue cards and "Super Friend Check List" are available as resources to help children along the way.

Isabella and Morgan test out the Check-In Table to solve a problem during morning free choice. Great thinking girls!

After reading Rainbow Fish yesterday, friends work on creating a classroom rainbow fish for our "Under the Sea" mural. Just as the story does, this Rainbow Fish represents friendship and our classroom community. I can't wait to see the finished product!

Friends work together to decorate our chair with Easter eggs and "lights." Very creative!

R is for Radishes and Rabbits!

To start off the week, we read the Aplphatales Story Rosie's Red Radish. We also came up with a word list to post in our classroom.

Easter is just around the corner! Why not fill the texture table with Easter grass, eggs and gems?!?!?!

Morgan closes her eyes as Emma and Isabella "hide" the Easter eggs in their own version of an Easter Egg Hunt :)

Molly patiently waits her turn to find the eggs in the "Easter Egg Hunt" that Emma, Morgan and Isabella set up in the texture table.

R is for Rabbits! Wyatt, Graham and Jacob work together to create "bunny homes" for the new additions to our classroom.

Kings, Queens and Knights!

Morgan works on creating a Queen's crown while Thomas makes a knight's mask during morning free choice.

All hail Queen Morgan!

Wyatt and Jacob work together to create full armor for their knight costumes.

Nice work, Thomas!

Sir Jacob at your service.

The knights of the round table board their train :)

Mud season is upon us! Check out those awesome splashes!

Letter Q Sound Circle

The letter Q yielded 4 queens, 5 quarters, a quill, 2 quilts, Q-tips and a question mark for our sound circle yesterday! Nice job...it was a tricky letter for sure!

Friends work on their square of our Animal Alphabet Quilt. They look awesome! I can't wait to see the finished product!
