Letter X Sound Circle!

Kallen makes an X out of Magna-Clix. Good thinking!

X is for x-rays! Jack brings in an x-ray of a pregnant turtle for us to check out. How cool is that?!?!?!

During morning free choice, we create our own x-rays.

Phew! Our X sound circle sure was tricky! We did a great job, though, and still had quite a variety of times.

Kallen and Mya work peacefully on a  fairy house during morning recess. How lovely!  We would love to take this idea even further once Spring truly hits. What a wonderful way to use nature and creativity :)

Tuesday Tinkerers!

Friends explore baking soda and vinegar during morning activities. Such fizzy goodness!

Friends play "Race to the Treasure" and "Busy Town: Eye Found It" during quiet choices today. Such awesome games for teamwork!

During music today, Raph shares with us a shadow puppet show to the song "It's a Wonderful World." YouTube it! It's amazing! The kids LOVED it!

Ms. Katie traces Kallen's body as the start to our classroom X-Ray project. Stay tuned!

Friday Fun!

Ms. Katie helps friends make lovely bows during afternoon activities. Looking good, ladies!

Jacob and Quinn play with the dinosaurs in our "Easter" texture table during morning free choice. They loved turning the Easter eggs into dinosaur eggs!

Charlotte, Maya and Nolan create an elaborate animal structure in the block area during morning free choice. It sure can be hard to put something like this away at clean up time. Good thing we can take photos to remember them!

Letter W Sound Circle!

W is for Waffles! Quinn makes some waffles with a new batch of playdough he helped to make.

Another wonderful sound circle yesterday. We saw watermelon, wolves, water bottles, a whistle, some watches and a Wesley!

W is for Watches! Friends make their own watches during afternoon activities. We are also working on our classroom project...a giant watch!

Today it's snowing, but yesterday we searched far and wide on the playground for water to make "potions" and "cakes." We also made a boat for every friend to sit in and row. Awesome teamwork!

Lots of Learning!

V is for Volcano! Check out our classroom volcano displayed over the bathroom door :)

Eva and Karsyn work hard to write the letter V words on our word wall during quiet choices. Awesome writing, girls!

Kallen says, "Hey! I made a V with my string cheese!"

Mason and Ms. Amy create a very looooooooooong necked giraffe during morning free choice.

Raph parades us around the classroom during music class today. Fun!

Quinn creates a lovely pillow out of wood chips during morning recess. How cozy!
