Today we read Olive the Octopus Learns to Juggle during morning meeting. This Alphatales story helped us learn the two sounds that the letter O makes in the beginning of words.
We sharpened our pretend pencils and put them to work to create the letter O.
After practicing with some "air writing," Hendric writes the letter O on the dry erase board. "It's just a circle," Hendric says. It sure is...great observation :)
Vowels can be very tricky sounds when you're learning to read and write. Everyone did a great job listening to the story and creating our O word list though. Great job, everyone!
